Thalapathy Vijay donated 70 lakhs for Kerala flood relief.
Thalapathy Vijay has once again displayed his large-heartedness by donating a big money for the relief work of flood-hit Kerala."#ThalapathVijay is doing his bit towards #KeralaFloodRelief through his fan clubs. He has pledged ₹70 lakhs via their bank accounts and asked them to directly reach across those in need of relief and rehabilitation. [sic]" journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted about his donation.
Among the actors, Vijay is the highest contributor for the cause. His fans from different regions have contributed essential items to flood-hit people apart from generously donating money.
The fans across Tamil Nadu have sent many trucks filled with medicines, clothes and other items to Kerala. The fan clubs from Chennai, Madurai and many others have taken a special interest in collecting those items and distributing to the neighbouring state.
Similarly, Vijay's fan clubs from Bengaluru sent a truck full of items from KR Puram. The unofficial fan clubs of the actor in Kerala have been actively taking part in the flood relief works.
Kerala witnessed unprecedented rains for close to a week, damaging properties and killing close to 400 people. Fortunately, the help has come from every nook and corner of India.
